Congratulations to CSM Student Ferdia O'Cairbre who came 1st in Ireland for best Music Results in Junior Cert 2019

We are delighted to announce that Ferdia O'Cairbre, a student of CSM since he was 2 years of age, received the best result in the Junior Cert in Music for year 2019.

Ferdia has grown musically with us since he started with us when he was 2 years of age. He was accepted into RTÉ Cór na nÓg when he was 12 years old and remained with them until he was 15 when he then joined RTÉ Cór Linn.

While Ferdia loves to sing, his first instrument is piano and he has completed his Senior Certificate with RIAM and is currently studying with Varo Khachatryan at CSM to undertake a Performance Diploma Exam.

Ferdia also composes music for various instruments and was asked by  RTÉ Cór Linn  to compose a piece for choir and piano which has been performed in the National Concert Hall as part of the New Music Dublin Festival.

Here is Ferdia performing one of his first compositions at just 13 years of age.

We would like to congratulate Ferdia on his musical achievements to date and in securing such a fantastic result.

We wish him every success for his Leaving Certificate exam.
